• Practical Physical Skills: Gain competence in safe breakaway methods, personal safety holds, and coordinated teamwork skills for controlled, safe restraint techniques.

👥 Entry Requirements & Eligibility

To maintain our exceptionally high standards of delivery, all delegates must meet the following baseline professional criteria:

• Industry Experience: A minimum of 2 years of active health and social care industry experience.
• Teaching Credentials: Delegates must hold a recognised teaching qualification, such as the Award in Education and Training (AET) .
• Note: If you do not currently hold an AET, you must be willing to undertake this qualification alongside or prior to your PMVA training.

1. In-House Assessment: Our senior assessors will evaluate your trainers on-site during their very first live course delivery at your facility.
2. Centre-Based Assessment: Your trainers can choose to be formally assessed at one of our dedicated, fully equipped course centres.

Maintaining Your Trainer Status:
Once qualified, instructors unlock ongoing resource support and curriculum updates. To keep your certification active and aligned with industry updates, trainers gain access to our mandatory 3-day annual instructor refresher course, which features an integrated Continuous Professional Development (CPD) event.

Our certified curricula are deeply aligned with premier industry frameworks. Once your internal trainers have been officially deemed competent, your organisation has the exclusive option to register as an affiliate provider with PMVA Associates.
